So we know it seems a little early, considering I am barely through my first trimester...but after much research, Ryan and I have picked out a crib and a changing table/dresser for Swarely! We heard from many friends that it often takes 10-12 weeks to have furniture delivered, and Aunt Rachael is going to be visiting during the month of July to paint a mural in Swarely's nursery. We wanted to make sure we had the furniture set up where we want it...the last thing we need is a dresser hiding a beautiful mural! Much to our surprise...the store had both pieces in stock, so we drove of with them last night!
This line of furniture (Babi Italia) got fantastic safety ratings, which we read about in "Baby Bargains".....a book I highly recomend to get the most bang for your buck! (It doesn't look like it in the picture...but the wood matches nicely!) We can place a changing pad on top of the dresser for all of those diaper changes, but once the child is potty trained...removing the pad makes it a wonderful dresser!
Its almost time to pick paint colors...stay tuned!
Yea baby nursery! You guys are definitely ahead of the curve. We set up Sean's nursery on July 1, and he was born on July 2. I would recommend your method over ours! BTW, we live by Baby Bargains. Don't head into Babies R Us without it!
ReplyDeleteThanks to Mimi + the VA Nimocks, Grandpa and MeeMaw (Rob & Patty) have inherited a great changing table for Swarley to use during Mt Airy visits. Gotta love thrift store hand-me-downs. Much appreciation, Shawna and David!
