New Toys for our New Boy!

Carson is now 2 and a half months old...we can hardly believe it! He is growing more and more everyday, currently weighing in at just under 11 pounds! He is getting very skilled at holding his head up, which meant we were able to introduce some new toys! Both Carson and Chomper found them very exciting...

More Holiday Fun!

While on his trip to Maryland/Delaware, Carson got to spend time with three out of his four great grandmothers! He hopes to meet his fourth great grandmother (Nan Meyer) this summer during his first trip to Higgins Lake!

Sadly, Carson's other great grandfather, David Moffitt, passed away on Christmas Eve. Thank you for the many condolences our family received, your support was amazing!

Although the two were never able to meet, Carson was blessed to meet lots of Moffitt cousins and aunts and uncles. He loved his super tall cousins, Jack, Bobby, and David! Jack and Bobby are well over 6 feet...and David is on his way! Ryan is hoping Carson will have some recessive Moffitt height genes that will allow him to be a basketball star...

Still Growing...

At 7 weeks, we estimate that Carson is around 9 and a half pounds! Its amazing to compare his current wardrobe to his preemie wardrobe!

6 Week Update!

I DON'T LIKE GETTING SHOTS!!!

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update on Carson! He is doing great! We just had his 6 week check up. He currently weighs 8 lbs 9 oz and rising!! He also got his first round of shots and was pretty cranky for the rest of the night :( 

Its hard to believe that my maternity leave is half over! Carson and I are just getting into a groove. He is eating every 3 hours like clock work, and is sleeping about 5 hours overnight. That's not quite "sleeping through the night" yet...but I will take it!

Carson and I try to get out and about as much as possible. I met a bunch of awesome other moms in my prenatal yoga and swimming classes this summer, and now that we all have little ones, we have had a great time getting together for coffee or play dates!

Chomper is slowly realizing that baby Carson is not going anywhere anytime soon. She has warmed up to him a little bit, and has chosen to begin sleeping back in our bedroom. Ryan and I were initially a little worried when she chose to move out of the bedroom when Carson moved in! She also likes to greet him when she enters a room, and gives him lots of kisses! 

Ryan is almost done with his second to last semester of his MBA program and is looking forward to spending some quality one on one time with Carson over the holidays! We can't wait to introduce him to more family and friends when we celebrate in Maryland.
