We kicked off the new year by celebrating with Ryan's family before driving back to New Hampshire after our holiday visit. Grampa Moose also had a business trip to NH during the month of January, so Grammy decided to come with him and visit Carson for the weekend! Having just visited with them in December, Carson excited to see them again so soon!
Carson's good friend, Mackenna, was excited to host a "Pull Up" party at our house in January, so that we all could get excited about potty training! Everyone had a blast!
Introducing Carson Michael Curtis, his little brother Crosby Quincy Curtis, and surprise Baby #3! Check back into the blog every so often for fun Carson, Crosby and Baby Girl updates!

More Than Words!
One huge event in our lives that I forgot to mention began evolving around June of 2012 and came to full fruition in October was the start of More Than Words Counseling Services, Susie's very own mental health counseling private practice! She has two offices, one in Epping and one in Dover, and as 2013 was already up to full capacity for clients! A bit overwhelming at times, but overall owning her own business has been a wonderful experience!

Epping office is inside the beautiful log cabin!
December!
Carson fully embraced the holiday spirit this December! He became obsessed with singing Christmas Carols, especially Silent Night. We went to go to see Santa, at which he had a total meltdown...but if you ask him....he will tell you that he was a big boy and sat on Santa's lap....the closest he got was snatching a candy cane from the man!
We celebrating Christmas down in MD. Santa was a huge hit, leaving Carson a lifetime supply of Thomas the Train toys. We were so excited to take Carson to church on Christmas Eve so that he could experience singing Silent Night by candle light. Unfortunately there was a snow storm and we couldn't get our car out of the driveway! There's always next year....

Grammy's cookie recipe of course!
All dressed up for church, but can't get out of the driveway!

November!
In November, Ryan's boss offered us his Bretton Woods Condo for a weekend, and the Curtis and William's families had a fun weekend exploring the NH Mountains! The condo was within walking distance of the Mt. Washington Hotel where we sneaked in for a swim, as well as the North Conway Railroad where the boys got to go on their first real train ride! Dean and Carson are huge train fans, so this was a BIG hit!
All Aboard!
October!
This past October was filled with Happy and Sad events. We traveled to Michigan in mid October to celebrate the life of Nan Meyer, Carson's maternal great grandmother. It was a wonderful experience coming together with so many loved family members, and ended up being so much fun to see Carson romp with his big second and third cousins!
Meyer Cousins!
We also celebrating Carson's 2nd Birthday! He is officially a big boy! Mom Mom, Aunt Deedle, and Cousin Nick flew in for the event. We hosted a birthday for Carson and all of his friend at Childlight Yoga Studio, and he had a BLAST! Unlike Mom and Dad, Carson is a natural yogi! We had a "buggy" themed party, as Carson is a big bug fan these days!

Last but not least, we had a blast on Halloween! Well almost on Halloween! Hurricane Sandy hit the NH coast on October 29th (last year we had a blizzard, bad weather loves to follow Carson's birthday!). Much of New Hampshire was without power, so many towns felt it was unsafe to trick or treat in complete darkness. In anticipation of possible power outages, our town moved the event to October 28th to beat the storm! Carson and his best bud, Dean, dressed up as Thing 1 and Thing 2...they were absolutely adorable! It did not take them too long to figure out the purpose of knocking on doors, and ran up and down the streets of our neighborhood until it was well after bedtime!
Happy Halloween!
September!
In September, the Curtis Family and the Williams Family did an insanely crazy road trip down to Washington DC! Slade (who is from California) had never been to the Capital, so we decided to pile all six of us (4 grown ups and 2 toddlers!) into our not so large Mazda5 and drive the 9 hours down to the mid-Atlantic! We stayed with Susie's parents in Mount Airy, and commuted into the city each day to see the sights over a long weekend. We even squeezed in a trip to the Mount Airy fire station with the boys, a grown up dinner at Volt (Top Chef) in Frederick, MD and an Orioles vs. Red Sox game at Camden Yards! Special thanks to the Moffitts for hosting all 6 of us and for Mom Mom for watching the boys while we were at the game! Overall, it was a great trip! Boy, were we all tired when we got back to NH!
In summary, we were able to see:

In August we celebrated Daddy's 33rd birthday at Fort Foster right across the border in Maine! We walked around the old fort, and then had a bbq outside for dinner!
Happy Birthday to Daddy!
We also had a visit from Pop Pop for Labor Day Weekend. We spend the weekend visiting York, ME and eating Lobster! Carson had a great time getting to know his Pop Pop!

In July of 2012, we did our regular trip down to Maryland as it tends to be the month of family birthdays! We have Grampa Moose, Mom Mom, Pop Pop, Cousin Dylan, and Mom Mom Joe to celebrate!

I recognize that it has almost been a year since my last blog update, which is just unacceptable! So many things have happened over the last year, I am going to do my best to update you all with one post for each month that I have missed!
Maybe once I am all caught up, I can start making regular posts again!
We shall see....hopefully some of my loyal blog followers will come back to me!

POTTY TIME!
So I am way behind on posts, and need to bring everyone up to speed on what a fun summer we have had...however...this post was not one I could pass up! Tonight before his bath, Carson went pee on the potty for the first time!!
Although I am not sure we are anywhere near ready to start actual potty training, we have started to have him sit on the potty before bath, etc. just to get him used to the concept. Ryan has him obsessed with skimming through a Reader's Digest while passing the time on the pot. Usually after 2 minutes or so, Carson announces that he is all done, hops down and is ready for his bath. Well, tonight, he peed! Involuntarily I am sure, but we still heard that magic tinkle!
Needless to say he was thrilled...we managed to document it! Some pretty cute pics!
