4 Months Old!

Carson turned 4 months old on February 26th! Time flies! We learned at his 4 month check up that he is 12 lbs 14 oz (13 lbs with a full diaper!!) and 24 inches long. We are excited to add this height onto his growth chart, as it starts at 2 ft tall! Both measurements put Carson in the 15th percentile - still a peanut, but up from the 10th percentile!

Carson has been drinking a few tablespoons of rice cereal in his expressed breast milk bottles since he was about 6 weeks old - this is thought to prevent acid reflux and excessive amounts of spit up. Since he is now 4 months old, his pediatrician suggested that he can now enjoy rice cereal like a big boy! So we have begun giving it to him with a spoon - a talent he has yet to master!

We hope you enjoy his first solid food experience as much as Chomper did!

Already trying to feed himself...

Although Chomper tried her best to clean up...
it was off to the bathtub Carson went!

Fun Candids

 First Big Laugh!

Getting better at tummy time...

Can I use my hands to put this on my face?

 Yes...yes, I can :)

 Deer caught in headlights!

 Sue Sylvester's Main Man

 Real men love babydolls!
(Perhaps my all time favorite Carson picture!)

 So serious...

Big Boy Toy!

Special thanks to Sully and Amanda for gifting Carson this fabulous exersaucer....it may have taken me hours to put together...but it was worth it, as Carson loves it!

Playdate Fun!

I definitely have missed getting together with my other mommy friends since going back to work, but Carson and I are lucky enough to catch a few playdates here and there! Its amazing to see the babies actually begin to interact with each other instead of just us mommies chatting away! Here are some fun pictures:

Chunky Boy!

So we think Carson has officially become "chunky"! Since birth he has registered in the 10th percentile in both height and weight...he is definitely a peanut! However, recently we have noted that he seems to getting bigger before our eyes! He has his 4 month check up next Monday....we can't wait to see how much he has grown! Here is a good picture reminder:

Here are his legs days after he came home from the hospital:

Here are his chunka-lunka legs at just under 4 months!

Gotta love what lack of jaundice and NH sun does for his coloring as well... :)

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

Carson's Fashion Sense

One thing Carson is never without is the perfect outfit! He has outfits for all occasions. He has so many outfits that sadly, he has actually grown out of a few of them before actually wearing them! Carson wore preemie size clothing the first two weeks of his life...size newborn until he was about 10 weeks old...and now, at 16 weeks we are just about ready to pack away all of his 0-3 month clothes.

Therefore, I am madly trying to cycle through some of the adorable remaining outfits...which is pretty easy to do, considering the many post spit up wardrobe changes! (He is always wearing something different when I pick him up at daycare!) Below are two of the cuter recent outfits! 3-6 month clothing, here we come!

TV TROUBLE...

On a side note...Carson has become obsessed with Television...he strains his neck as much as possible to see what is on the tube...we attempt to limit his exposure and hope this is not negative foreshadowing of his teenage years!  Here were some shots of my first attempts to capture his outfits while the TV was on...

Baby's First Cold :-(

Last week, Carson acquired his first cold :-( He spent all of three days at daycare before the sniffles and coughing began! I guess that means I should backtrack...my maternity leave is over, and I was back to work as of February 1st :-(

The good news is that I have a new job that is much less stressful, and has much better hours, allowing me to spend a decent amount of time quality with Carson! Carson is now in full time daycare...and so far doing great! (minus the sniffles). He loves all of his teachers, and is smiling and laughing every time I pick him up! I have give the daycare a camera to use through out the day, and hope to post some daycare action shots in the near future!

Back to the cold....Carson appeared oblivious to his sniffling, coughing, and sneezing, as he remained his smiley self throughout the entire ordeal...unfortunately, after providing Carson mucho TLC, Mommy and Daddy are now miserably sniffling, coughing, and sneezing...and not so smiley :)
