Happy Easter!

We had a very spontaneous, fun Easter this year! Our original plans were to go to church in the AM, do an egg hunt in the front yard in the afternoon, and then make a nice ham dinner for just the three of us. However, Carson decided that after the excitement of his Easter basket, he needed to nap...right before church! He ended up sleeping for 2.5 hours, hence no church! He usually naps around 1 PM, so we were totally thrown by this change in schedule.

I had hard boiled our eggs last night, and we had hoped to dye them with Carson today, however when I woke up this AM...Ryan and Carson had already dug into them for breakfast! So instead of egg hunting, we spent the afternoon at a new playground, where Carson tried out all 6 of the slides!

I had hoped to cook a nice dinner this evening, however we were so caught up with watching the Master's that we never put the ham in the oven! Ryan's best friend from childhood, Andrew Fischer, is the personal trainer of Bubba Watson, so we were thrilled with his big win tonight. Carson officially knows how to say "Go Bubba!" (with a fist pump included)...a perfect ending to a perfectly unplanned Easter!

 Here's an egg, Mom!

I really like the plastic eggs...

More than anything else in my basket!

The Easter Bunny did bring Carson some pretty cool things.

I especially liked the Easter Bunny book!

Until I discovered this chocolate bunny...

And discovered next that I like chocolate...

Later that morning I did some coloring in my new coloring book.

Took a break to get a quick kiss from Chomper...

Even big boys get tired after an exciting Easter Morning!

 I love to swing!

 C'mon, Dad!

 Slow and steady...

 Slides are so much fun!

Hellooooooo down there!

I attempted to "reshoot" this picture from last year, a year later:

Carson did not want to indulge with me in this process...

Happy Easter, everyone!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! (A little late!)

Being the cheesy mom that I am, Carson almost always dresses up for themed days at Daycare: PJ day, crazy sock day, super hero day...here is what he wore for St. Patrick's Day!

But alas...he most likely did not make it to lunch
before needing a wardrobe change of some kind... :)

A Visit From Grammy!

My mom came to visit this past weekend, and she and Carson had a blast!

He loved for her to read him stories, especially Clifford the Big Red Dog, and any book about Duckies. (We happen to be having a ducky obsession these days thanks to Aunt Deedle who gifted Carson a ducky book and ducky stuffed animal).

We did lots of fun things together, including get a haircut with Carson's friend, Dean, go to a daycare fundraiser at Barnes and Noble where Grammy gifted Carson two more ducky books...had friends over for a fun dinner, played at Twice the Fun in Dover, and met Cousins Tim, Lauren, and Thomas at Olive Garden before returning to the airport on Sunday! We even managed to fit in a few naps...

All in all, a great weekend with Grammy! One of the best yet!

Who is this crazy lady? :)

Its Grammy! (Note the adorable matching outfits)

I love my new chair that Grammy gave me!
(Actually, she gave me two for when I have a friend over!)

Too busy admiring the chair to smile for the camera...

Curtis Candids

Here are some more fun candid photos from our visit with Ryan's family this past weekend.

We also met up with Aunt Kristen, Uncle Sam, Sam's brother Neil, and Grampa Moose in Baltimore for dinner before heading to the airport that evening. Our flight ended up being delayed, so we squeezed in a quick visit with college friends Sully and Amanda (and Joe!) Awesome to see all of them!

Grammy was busy visiting Great Nan in Michigan this weekend....Can't wait for Grammy to visit in a few weeks!

Moon Bounce!

This past weekend, the three of us traveled down to Maryland to celebrate Cousin's Nick's 4th Birthday. At his party, there was a moon bounce. Having never been in one before, we were curious to see what Carson thought of it. We snatched a moment in time when the rest of the older kids were busy with other activities, and jumped on in!

Carson had a really great time! Lots of bouncing and jumping with Daddy! Mommy even got a few jumps in!

A Trip the to Aquarium

Ryan and I took Carson to the New England Aquarium over President's Day Weekend. We were not sure how engaged Carson would be with the different exhibits, as he was only 16 months old. Ryan had never been to the NE Aquarium, so we figured worst case scenario, Ryan would have a good time!

Carson ended up LOVING it! He was extremely enthusiastic about the penguins, and could have stayed staring into the large fish tank for hours if we had let him! He was saying "fishees" by the end of the day, and would growl at the large shark that would swim by every once in awhile! Lots of ooooo's, ahhhhhh's and pointing! All in all, a good trip!

Fun with Cousin Nate

At the end of February, Carson, Ryan and I met up with my cousin Nate and his wife Deb, to cook a fun dinner for my cousin Tim and his wife Lauren and baby cousin Thomas! Carson especially had fun playing with Cousin Nate...
